"The room rate was expensive for what you get. The hotel lobby was nice. After check in they sent a text asking how everything was going and if we needed anything. I did not reply but should have let them know that the room had a musty/moldy smell. Rooms were dated. Also we were getting in late each evening and the door lobby door remained unlocked, you did not need to use the key pad and there was not a person at the front desk to monitor the door. "We have been Hilton Honors members for 25 plus years. During that time, we have stayed at many properties in the Hilton family. In fact, for my daughter's wedding, we had a block of 25 rooms reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wilkes Barre PA. I will say that we have always enjoyed our accommodations.
Our stay at the Garden City NY Hampton Inn was not a pleasant experience. We woke up after an overnight stay and my wife found, what was apparently, BEDBUGS in one of the beds.
