"Heating in the initial room was not able to be turned on. No equivalent room was available. I was told I would have to pay for an upgrade or stay in a freezing cold room. Finally, 2 hours later, I was advised I would be moved to another room at no additional cost. This should have been athe immediate and unquestioning solution. Very disappointing. "Bijzondere locatie om te overnachten qua oudheid en historie. Leuke en gezellige bar met grote lounge en vele fijne stoelen. Achter het hotel is ook een grote parkeerplaats en het hotel zelf ligt aan de hoofdstraat dus wel wat drukker voor de deur. Continentaal ontbijt was niet heel uitgebreid maar wel oké. Je kon English breakfast los bestellen. Je moet smalle trappen lopen richting kamer. Die was klein en compact ook qua badkamer."

"We stayed here on our Ruby Wedding Anniversary as we had our wedding reception here and this was the first time we had gone back in 40 years! Staff very attentive and had sprinkled red hearts on the bed and on our dining table with little lights.The food was delicious, lovely evening meal and very good breakfast in the morning. Over all a lovely nostalgic stay for us and we will definitely return."
