"Staying here is an extraordinary experience, stepping back in time to a ryokan as it was in the 1950s (and almost as it was in 1920). The hospitality is exceptional, the staff attentive and capable, and the room spacious and evocative of an earlier era. Visitors must realize that this means very little in modern conveniences: some rooms don’t have showers and all the rooms are Japanese style with tatami floors and futon beds (set out during dinner and removed during breakfast). "強羅駅から近く、料理もとても美味しく、全体的に心地よく過ごせました。 ただ、一点だけ気になることがありました。 男性大浴場に女性スタッフの方が普通に入ってこられたことです。 清掃や点検が必要なのは理解していますが、利用者としては非常に気まずく、不快に感じました。 可能であれば、利用者が少ない時間帯に作業を行うか、男性スタッフの方もいらっしゃるようでしたので、男性スタッフが対応してくださると安心できると思います。 もしこれが男女逆の状況であれば、大きな問題になるはずです。 不快に感じる方にはあまり、オススメできないと感じました。"
