"This place is over 100 years old and because of that, it has its quirks but I think it adds character to the ryokan experience. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The kaiseki dinner was delicious but it was a lot of food. We had to request to serve us one less meal so we didn’t waste too much. The service and ambiance was great. The onsens were a perfect touch to end our days. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This is an elegant and family oriented place. Everyone is so professional and attentive. The vibe is kind and relaxed. The food is delicious and the amenities are incredible. "What an amazing stay we had! The property is just beautiful, the room is so spacious and comfortable, the meals were abundant and delicious, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the in-room open air onsen as well as the variety of private onsen on the property (great for when I wanted an early soak while husband was still sleeping). Parking was provided on the property as well, which was so convenient. I would recommend Suiun to anyone and would gladly stay here again!"
