"My stay at Lanehead old school was fantastic. The owners Lisa and Chris were lovely and extremely helpful. My car broke down on the way there and they offered to pick me up. They then offered to pick me up from the garage I had my car towed to. Excellent hosts. It was like staying with old friends! I can't recommend the place highly enough!"

"A very warm and genuine welcome on arrival. The room was perfectly adequate for my needs, nice double bed with views over the rooftops of the historic town centre and over to the moors. Delicious cooked-to-order breakfast."

"Lovely location and great beer garden. Beds were comfortable and clean. The main issue in the bedroom was the very low water pressure in the shower making it almost impossible to have a decent shower. The other issue was the slow service in the restaurant. It was busy when we first arrived so that was fair enough but even when it died down it was still very slow and we could see our drinks waiting at the bar but no one to bring them over until we asked. And breakfast again the service was slow,...
