The Westin St. Thomas Beach Resort & Spa

"Overall, the resort itself was really nice, and I enjoyed a lot of what it had to offer. However, the amount of cats everywhere completely ruined the experience for me. There were cats walking around the areas where we were eating, on the beach, around the pool and hot tub, and even inside the lobby. They were literally everywhere. I’m terrified of cats and honestly do not like being around them, so I couldn’t even fully enjoy the pool or hot tub because there were cats around those areas too. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind cats, this may not bother you at all. But if you’re afraid of cats or simply don’t like them, I would definitely take that into consideration before booking this resort because they are very much a part of the environment. Other than the cats, the resort was beautiful and I had a good overall experience. But personally, would I go back? No. The cats were just too much for me and made it hard for me to relax and enjoy my vacation the way I wanted to."

"The hotel staff was so friendly, but the smell of the sargassum was almost unbearable in certain areas. They closed the restaurants early most evenings and shut the pool bar down for 3 of the 6 days we were there. For sure a resort that isn’t catered to “off season” travelers as much as they would be during peak times. Also no beach on the property."

"Unfortunately, the pool was under construction during our stay and unusable, but we didn't allow that to stop us. The beach was quite and relaxing, thus Westin has a family vibe and good for children. The staff was friendly. I do think they can do better at advertising the water and children's activities. The rooms were excellent and resturants too. Ferry service and crew were great too. Great stay for a family of 5!"

"The whole experience was amazing. There are so many amenities that come with your stay that it takes a few days, yes days to understand everything that is available. The staff is amazing. You can ask anyone a question about the property and they either give you the answer or know who to get you too for the answer. My favorite was the pool is open 24 hours. The night swimming was alot of fun."
