Beautiful space, meticulously cared for and very special ambience. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We took advantage of the spa services, the temazcal, and ate wonderful food at the restaurant on-site. We can't wait to go back!!
The people were very polite and profesionl. Impresive buildings, woundeful swimming pools, beautiful view of the mountains, great landscaping. Quiet. Very good meals.
I’m still basking in the glow of my incredible stay at Hostal de la Luz in Tepoztlán! This enchanting retreat is truly a haven of peace and tranquility, with an energy that feels almost palpable. Even though I arrived at 2am the night manager welcomed me with open arms and made me feel safe and taken care of. During the course of my stay all the staff were really friendly and accommodating despite the fact that I don’t speak very good Spanish.
The real highlight was the Renaissance Temazcal experience - it was transformative! The ceremony was led with such care and intention, and I felt deeply connected to the earth, my breath, and my own inner wisdom.
If you're looking for a place to nourish your body, mind, and spirit, look no further than Hostal de la Luz. With love and gratitude to this special place 🙏❤️
It went above my expectations! The room view to the mountains, AC, bath robes and hairdryer, for an holistic spiritual center, do not expect TV or cable but internet runs fast.
The welcome team i super warm and kind, they gave us fresh water upon arrival staff is super helpful and friendly. Took my luggage all the way to the room.
The only low note I can tell you, is the linen and towels look and feel that they have survived many wash cycles…
I highly recommend you this beautiful place.
Lovely place, yoga and Chi- kung available
The only issue was that I asked one of the employees to ask for a taxi to take me to the bus station but instead they told the taxi driver to take me to Chalo. I was confused and concerned about my safety
The temazcal is super over price. The price for 1 or 2 guest is súper expensive and more for the area, tepoztlan and amatlan is famous for temazcal and the service in the hotel is the same. The hotel should consider a more fair price so guests can schedule more than 1 temazcal during stay.

Not happy that when we arrived the AC at my room did not work properly and the drapes at the room were loose.
Also for a place to claim to be holistic the restaurant menu did not match the concept
WOW! This was a wonderful transformative retreat for my 33rd birthday. We had a real shaman in the Temazcal. 3 days and 3 nights of no cell service and no wifi. We left feeling reborn with new skin and new minds. Revitalized Souls. Thank you very much to the Mountains, the land, our Shaman Andres, the vibe and environment of the resort and OF COURSE last but not least, the two cats. we named them Milo (black cat) and Sissy (the white cat).
Blessings to you all and we wish every new person coming here a wonderful transformative experience.
