"The kitchenette was well equipped. Could have used some dish detergent and some more towels for hand washing dishes. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. The temperature controls and cooling system worked very well and quietly. Check in and communicate very easy. The room needs more hooks and towel bars. No where to dry out wet bathing suits and beach towels. Room was larger than expected. WiFi excellent. "

"I don't know how it got a 4.5 star rating, should be a three. It's an old, iconic, Art Deco hotel. No frills, small room, no phone, no clock, no room service. Treacherous shower, tub has no non-slip surface and no bars to hold onto. The sink is OUTSIDE the bathroom. No chair, no place to put your luggage. The rooftop pool is nice, but don't expect good poolside service--a drink and taco chips took over an hour to receive, not to mention it cost $70 with the exhorbitant fees. The breakfast was...

"Our first room had two issues, the window shade was broken and the towel rack had fallen and was laying on the bathroom floor with debris when we checked in. We were told there was not another room to move to the next day but when they evaluated the situation they suddenly had a room to move us to. The new room was great and bigger as the pictures had originally advertised but there toilet made very loud whistling noises at all hours randomly (you had to jiggle the handle to get it stop). "What I wanted is what I got. It was as expected, no frills. Sufficient room that met my expectations. Well situated near stores, restaurants, and the beach. Comfortable stay with the exception of periodic lack of hot water in the kitchen sink. Also it's directly in the view of neighbors so blinds had to be closed. There is an issue with reimbursement of deposit so that is being worked out. "

"Fabulous building and the room we had was spectacular. I think the hotel side of the building is slightly neglected and could definitively do with some TLC. The “roof terrace” is a space that should be repaired and utilised as there really isn’t anywhere to sit in the sun. Pool is available to use if you don’t mind 50+ diners and staff looking at you. The staff there are perfect….. especially Talia on the front desk who was so lovely and helpful. Food and drinks were delicious.☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️"
