"I picked the Surfing Turtle based upon positive reviews but I definitely didn’t have a good experience. I guess someone has to draw the short straw. That was me - my room faced the very BUSY and LOUD road that was about 4 feet from the door. The loud music from nearby clubs went on late into the night. I have stayed in busy and noisy hotels all over and have never had to resort to the earplugs that were left in the nightstand. The Google Map link sent to me wouldn’t work which created...

"This property was a quick one night stay for my husband and I on our way to another place the next day. It was perfect for the two of us. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the air worked great, the shower was spacious, and the inclusion of a mini fridge was wonderful for keeping our bottled water cold!"

"A "quaint" old hotel in Old San Juan, kept up with very well. If you want hundreds of souvenir shops to walk in and out of it's very convenient. Restaurants and bars seemed to be harder to find. No real amenities at the hotel, did not see anyone using the hot baths or jacuzzi. Coffee in the lobby near the front door in the morning, had to get a hair dryer from the front desk. It served it's purpose for the overnight stay."

"Expedia pictures need to be updated..property does not have a rooftop seating area. Management is lacking..they offered early check in but then had us sit there when rooms were available because the room we had already been assigned to was still occupied. Cleaning staff only makes bed and takes out trash, they don't clean. Great location, property has potential. "

"Property was in a great location, very walkable to the beach and two different restaurants, but the floor was gritty. The bed was not comfortable with very thin sheets pillows need to be changed out. Pillows old and stained. The shower only had lukewarm water which created cold showers and would occasionally stop up in the drain. The particular room that I was placed in required you to step up from the bedroom to the bathroom and the kitchen so it was definitely not the easiest room to maneuver...
