"Stayed here for 1 night for work purposes, on arrival i was greeted warmly & was checked in quickly & efficiently. The room was really nice, clean, cosy & comfortable. Had a good nights sleep due to the rooms been quiet & away from the pub itself & road. Breakfast the next morning was really nice & plenty of choice from cereal, cooked breakfast & cold meats. Would definitely stay here again should i be working around that area & would recomend this place to others."

"Warm welcome on arrival,quick check in and shown to our room. Property is a bit of a maze so the assistance was appreciated Room was compact but looked very fresh & clean. Quality toiletries and refreshments. Complimentary water was a nice touch. Only gripe is the slightly awkward shower controls, which ca9be reached unless you are standing in the shower or have exceptionally long arms"

"Our stay at the Mount Edgcumbe was genuinely exceptional. My wife wasn’t feeling well during our visit, and the manager and staff showed such warmth and care — nothing was ever too much trouble. "We booked to stay as it was near to Wadhurst Castle where we were attending a wedding. The room was The Yew and Eye. Spotlessly clean and a lovely area out the front to sit and enjoy a drink. Very quirky but charming. The welcome at reception and talk through in the room was excellent. The young lady even took a few moments out of her very busy day to give us a brief history of the pub. The bar was busy but well staffed. Breakfast was ample , fresh and most welcome"
