"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

"Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained ."

"Attic room,small and airless.Breakfast could not be offered before 8.30am.Suitcases could not be accommodated after 10am.This severely curtailed our planned day."

Sink and refrigerator were nice. 2 free water bottles. 10-15 minutes from city center. The room in the loft was not good at all. The ceiling on some parts were so short so I hit my head twice. No window. Only one small skylight"

"We received a friendly welcome on check-in and we're shown to our room personally, which was a really nice touch. Our room was quiet and had the bonus of a bath, it was very good. The hot breakfast was quality and cooked well. We would have preferred more bread choice, cheese and charcuterie to be self serve."

"The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was huge and tasty. It’s centrally located for walking the city & near restaurants. The only thing to fix is the street which is blocked for construction, so you can only use one end of the street to get there."

"Very enjoyable stay with easy distance from the centre of York and the railway station. Room was good and comfortable. The shower and washing dispensers seemed to be "muddled up". Breakfast choice was good and service efficient."

"Views - large construction site outside. Room - mould in the bathroom on the ceiling, toilet did not flush properly. No lock on bathroom door. Duvet and pillows were of a very low quality. Breakfast - We went to breakfast early (6:30) which resulted in no staff present. Gluten free food was available on request but unable to do so. Fried breakfast was lukewarm. Coffee machine broken. Decided to try somewhere nice and was sadly letdown."
