"When we approached the hotel it looks a stunning country house. Lovely location. We were welcomed very nicely. We had a lake view room. On first appearance it was quaint old and looked inviting. As time went by it was obvious that the upkeep of maintenance was lacking. This was reflected throughout the hotel. Our dinner in the restaurant came cold and my husbands potatoes were missing. "Nice place, right time of the year. Cabin and hot tub were excellent. The shared pool leaves a little to be desired for young kids. Especially those who may not be confident in the water. I would go back and stay in Lodge 15 Langsdale again. Short trips in the car gave great views of the area and loads to do. "

"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"Fantastic central location in Bowness - an abundance of shops and restaurants are on the doorstep, and the jetty is a just a short walk away. The allocated parking is a huge benefit. The garden outside the property is absolutely stunning, and the room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and full of charming character (the Puddle-Ducks theme was a lovely touch). The morning breakfast hamper with breads, fruit, yogurt, and juice was really nice too. Highly recommended"
