"Do not be discouraged by the road to Rancho Humo, what lies at the end turned out to be a real gem. This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews. "Eyal and his staff were the saving grace of our trip. When everything that could go wrong, did, we were warmly greeted and welcomely accommodated. Our room was absolutely beautiful, and the food and service in the restaurant was unrivaled!"

"You don't stay in Arenal for the area around the B&Bs. You go to Arenal because it's funky and quiet and friendly . We return to Casa Donna Rosa for the welcoming owners and most of all for the fantastic breakfast preparations. I have only been gone one day and I miss their breakfasts already. Home baked Challah in think hunks with baked crisp finish the their french toast...yumm even before you try adding the smear of preserves. Great Costa Rican coffee is served with pots of wam milk. "

"This a unique experience. Staff was very helpful and their breakfast which we had one morning was delicious. We even managed to get Italian food delivered (easier with USD cash). The view is unbelievable and we definitely enjoyed as a family with 2 teenagers. Note that like all roads in Costa Rica, always better with a 4WD car. We had a simple 4x4 SUV and we had no issue driving (slowly) the 1.5km or so to get to the property even under set season rain. Again, great experience if you are looking...
