Great initiative from staff despite the high temperature they ensured there was always ice cubes available for the rooms and offered free ice cream during the day. "There’s no on‑site parking for overnight stays, but the car park is just around the corner and only a few minutes’ walk away. The guest house is close to everything, with a small Morrisons conveniently located at the end of the road. The couple who run the guest house were lovely and made us feel very welcome. "When we arrived we were greeted by a young man after ringing the doorbell, he took us through to the bar lounge, and read us a load of rules about the place, then he asked us if we used deodorant which a strange thing to ask then said don't spray in the bedroom because of the smoke alarm. The room we were given was supposed to have been a double more like a single with a double bed in it. "Customer service was exceptional as soon as we arrived, nothing was too much bother. The premises are spotlessly clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious and the portions are hearty indeed! There is a family friendly / homely bar area with a pool table. The pool and the drinks were very reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to return to The Hopton if I ever return to Blackpool. Thank you for a pleasent stay."

"room was fab and could see the Tower especially at night. Happy to look at the football stadium - however very noisy as people working on maintaining it - sat and sunday. Bar staff and breakfast staff wonderful, nothing too much trouble. One of the Receptionists not very helpful especially as had a bit of trouble with the parking. Beware - I was very upset at how nonchalent she was with regard to the issue and no help at all."
