"Love this place, just 2 minutes from the beach and a 25-minute walk to downtown Carmel. The staff are first class, with George in particular standing out. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and was beautifully decorated. The complimentary mini bar and snacks were a lovely surprise, and the breakfast was delicious. "

"Loved this place especially the fireplace auto turn on and off. Our room was so nice and comfortable. Location was perfect and dinner recommendations from hotel was perfect for our anniversary! "Everything was great. Small things could be better: In the room, "Heat" did nothing, but setting the Thermostat to 'cooling' actually switched the HEAT and fireplace on... (room 104). Also, it would be lovely if the top windows could be somehow covered like the patio ones - it gets super bright in the morning. But overall, great stay, one of the best in Carmel, and Parking is a big plus."

BUDS, the restaurant in house, is phenomenal. The breakfast (included) is the best breakfast I’ve had. That alone would make me come back. "

"We’re doing a two-week road trip of California and this has to be the worst place we’ve stayed in. Although the rooms are perfectly fine in terms of cleanliness and comfort, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to you to the outside noise. We were very unfortunate that our neighbours were extremely noisy and loved slamming their doors every time they entered or left their room which meant that I barely slept.
