"We stayed in the Love Haven which was lovely and we had a lovely stay but have to give a bad review on the basis we went to shower in the morning before check out and noticed water was dripping through one of the lights downstairs. We immediately turned it off due to health and safety. When we reported to reception we were told oh yeah maintenance know about it but it’s a big job. When I queried this being a health and safety issue, I did not get a response. They also did not seem bothered that...

"The Puddle Duck was one of THE BEST places we have ever stayed in! When we arrived, all we could smell were the roses, coming from the incredibly beautiful garden. The property is absolute perfection! We arrived a few hours earlier than planned, but the owner took us right up to our room. It was spotless, spacious and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail here is unlike most other places. Nothing has been missed and everything has been tailored to provide you with a perfect stay....

"We loved everything about The Belsfield Hotel. We stayed there a few years ago and it was beautiful, but since it has new owners, the staff are happier, the hotel is continually being updated restoring it to it's former glory. Our room was perfect, the breakfast was incredible and the staff couldn't have been nicer with us. We will be returning again later in the year, before we get married there. It's a gorgeous, stunning hotel."

"Room was clean and location was perfect. We headed to bowness for an evening cruise, was lovely and easy to walk back to hotel. If you’re booking through a third party then please be aware of a parking charge, we paid £10 for two days we stayed, was not too bad, although limited parking on site, and we could always use the overflow parking. Breakfast was nice too. Overall was a good stay."

"The hotel is ok but there are some important things to know before booking. Both parking and the swimming pool are an additional charge (£10 & £15 a day respectively) and, whilst the hotel is said to be family friendly, there is no children’s menu, the pool only allows children in it between 8 am and 11 am and there’s really nothing for children to do apart from the pool. The staff are very helpful and friendly."
