"We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10"

"Four school friends stayed for two nights for the races. Everything was just perfect, lots of nice touches, the staff were really helpful, Francesca and Adam went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The chauffeur service was excellent. "Top class rooms, entry, location. Very minor point, private terrace area could do with improved seating but we used our own camping chairs so not a problem. Tesco express a few yards away was excellent. An excellent spot to stay."

"The worst hotel & spa I have ever been to, would not even call this place a spa - my gym has better facilities. Spa in a pub (ridiculous as it sounds). People drinking alcohol in the spa (including in the steam room). Pitch black in the spa - accident waiting to happen. Rude staff. Too busy for the size of the hotel. Had a massage but couldn't relax because it was so loud & lairy in the spa. Room was tiny, narrow and twisted staircase which was a nightmare taking luggage up. Bathroom not cleaned...

"Front Reception was excellent! From that point on everything went down hill. A very run down room with a dirty window looking over the car park. Threadbare carpet and frayed edges of the mattress hanging down. Dated decor and a less than pristine bathroom with a disgusting non slip mat! Really! Loud music played in the breakfast room. "From arrival to leaving nothing was too much trouble. I was on my own and the staff were more than helpful as to where to visit . The food was varied and excellent. Breakfast was basic continental but didn’t want any more. I make what I consider sensible comments not criticism and mentioned these to them. 1 possibly a small fridge in the room in view of current conditions but found out I was lucky and had a larger room so this wasn’t feasible throughout.
