"The property was very beautiful and this was a great home base for our week in Edinburgh. It was a bit away from the city center so we did end up taking buses and taxis more than expected. Traffic in front of the house gets quite busy around lunchtime and supper. While housekeeping provided a steady supply of tea packets and granola bars, we did have to venture out for food. "Lovely updated hotel with great lounge areas and complementary snacks! Very walkable to the Royal mile. The walls were a bit thin and you could hear guests in the hallway. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend!"

"Room was clean and felt newly-updated, although on the smaller side. Our rear-facing room was very quiet. Parking was convenient. Breakfast and common area were excellent, and the staff was super helpful. Good location - not exactly in the center of the tourist sites, but an easy 15 minute walk or 5 min taxi/uber (which were readily available). Some good restaurants, coffee shops and pubs nearby."

"Sorry that there was no elevator, but because it is an historical property, it can not be installed. Staff was wonderful and breakfast and the room it was served was beautiful. Well worth the money if you can do 47 steps to the top floor. Were in our late 70’s and we did it!!!! Great spot and great people running it."
