"Great stay"

"Staff were welcoming, very friendly and efficient. The hotel was rather dated and looked tired, especially the rooms, although they were clean. The use of a guest lounge with tea, coffee and water was a bonus, although provisions hadn’t been topped up, nor the area tidied when we used it in the evening. More Choice of games would have been nice, too. Given the spectacular and unique location, the grounds appeared very neglected, apart from around the restaurant area. Very expensive for what...

"Avoid! Club Quarters Hotel Covent Garden / Holborn. We had no advance notice there would be disruptive work on the hotel and found the lobby was half closed for various work in rooms and the floors. I asked if the drilling or hammering would stop on Saturday and Sunday. We were assured by the man on the front desk that was the case. But the noise started at from 8:30am on Saturday. The walls are paper thin, anyway, and you can hear your neighbour quite easily. in fact, the room was just weird....

"We had a fantastic stay at the Woodland Village. The lodges were lovely and the kids loved the little Lego hunt and treat in the room. Everything was clean and on “theme” and the little parks were great. The staff were really helpful. The only reason I haven’t rated excellent is: Airplane noise from Heathrow which obviously is no one’s fault. Breakfast was really poor. Just recooked rubbery food and a tiny continental selection. You’d think after the amount you pay they’d have a coffee machine...
