"Beautiful house,very clean and I saw them cleaning the room after we left and it was very thorough. Food superb and substantial with canapes and sorbet mouth cleansers we could not finish a substantial main course and no room for desert.

The premises features a very large pub on the ground floor, which is used for a great breakfast for guests. Reception desk for hotel guests is in the bar. "We absolutely loved our stay in room 26. The view from the balcony is amazing and the room itself was lovely, amazing fan and the most comfortable bed. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay 😊 "
"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere.
The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets.
All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "
"Unfortunately the pictures of the property are outdated so not a true reflection of what to expect during your stay. There is a BBQ pictured yet no longer available. This is not mentioned in the description. It does also not mention that towels are not provided.
Directions to the property are very poor. The postcode does not take you to the White Cross Bay holiday park where the lodge is located, this would have been very helpful and avoid us getting lost for a bit.
