"Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. We booked this hotel for my son’s graduation and it was ideal for getting into Cardiff with a short uber ride. Very clean and good sized rooms with everything we needed. Breakfast was really good with hot food served from 7am. We sat in the lovely gardens and had a drink in the bar which was so nice as it was so warm. Would definitely return."

"Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre. We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good."

"What an amazing Place. Amazing Hosts. Beautiful Scenery and Loads of horses around the property which my children loved. Elsa and her husband were incredible and so welcoming and genuinely nice people and checked wverything was OK for us and left us enjoy our time. The Cottage had lovely grounds and a lovely well kept secure garden for the dogs. The family are lovely. "Room was lovely staff were lovely bit noisy as concert going on in castle across road until late… not a lot they can do about that in fairness if weather was cooler could of closed windows to hopefully reduce noise again nothing they can do about the weather. Breakfast was nice but not very hot and we were in there 5 minutes after it opened at 8am. Overall beautiful building fantastic location and I would stay again but go out for breakfast"

"Room was overpriced for a concert, £400 per night when £220 normally. I’d expect an uplift but not this much. Room was worn, fan and windows dusty and unclean. Other room had no hot water in shower so unable to use. Noisy and limited sleep although bed comfortable No bar as closed. WiFi non existent and no 5G signal so if you want a quiet night and no shower then ideal place. Breakfast mediocre"
