"Check-in was smooth and was greeted with a glass of champagne. Staff was very helpful in telling us where all the restaurants were located. The buffet was great I had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. They have a 24hour sports bar and several bars by the pools. At the sports bar they have sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, and vegan to go options. You just have to warm up on your own. The beach was great the water is warm there was some seaweed but nothing overbearing."

"Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5 Stars) If you are looking for an adults-only resort with exceptional service, outstanding food, beautiful pools, comfortable accommodations, and hardworking staff who genuinely care about their guests, I highly recommend Excellence Riviera Cancun. The only reason I am giving 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars is because the Caribbean beach experience did not meet my expectations during my stay due to the sargassum conditions. Otherwise, this resort delivered an excellent vacation experience that I will always remember. Special shout out Steffanie (Lobster Rest) , Edin (Coffee shop) Maria (Lobster Rest.), and the entire Excellence Riviera Cancun team for making my stay so enjoyable and relaxing! ☕🦞🌴💖✨"

"We were surprised to see how clean the place is along with how helpful and hardworking the resort employees are. We were there for 5 days but after the second day already thought we should have booked for 7. It’s a great place managed by very competent people. Food is abundant and variety for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between along with free soda and alcohol.. pools were cleaned every day and security is tight .. we just loved the Riu resort."
