"I’ve been visiting the Clifton hotel since I was a teenager, originally with my parents, and over the decades have stayed on lots of trips and mini breaks! The latest custodians have done an amazing job in both refurbishment and conserving this classic old hotel!! They give you a walk welcome and are genuinely happy to see you. The breakfast was lovely every morning, plenty of options and choices Visited the Marco Pierre White steak house in the hotel as well and the food was perfectly cooked and service was superb Well done to the new owners it truly was a pleasure to visit you, we will definitely be back very soon "

"Hmo people are living there"

"The room was spacious and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, unfortunately the lift was broken during our stay, and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs, which was quite inconvenient. Also, the carpet in the room had a very strong old/musty smell that made the room feel less fresh than expected. Overall, the hotel has potential, but these issues affected our experience."

"Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental but good selection and plenty of. Stayed in premium double room, which was clean but nothing was premium unfortunately. Flat pillows need throwing, bed you can feel the springs, furniture handles falling off when opening draws, shower towel rails broken, shower had no pressure just trickling out and running down the head. Furniture needs updating or fixing."

"Having seen other reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to see that whilst the main areas of the hotel look a little outdated and in need of renovation, our room was clean and we were given a sea-view room. However, the toilet did not flush at all and the shower did not work; we only discovered this as we were getting ready for check out. There also appeared to be a potential asbestos risk with the flaking textured coating on the ceiling of the wardrobe with cracks in the ceiling and dust and debris on the shelf."

"We had a lovely stay for one night, it is the perfect location, making it easy to walk everywhere. We had everything we needed. We had a sea view, but unfortunately, it was covered with scaffolding, which was disappointing! The breakfast was really nice, and you had plenty of choices to pick from. "

"Two nice bars, and most days wonderful musician / dancers on stage in the ballroom . Regular events are free to those staying in hotel."
