Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking.
The area has seen its best days, lot of dirty alleys, and a huge fence between the beach and the street

Disliked: Amenities
Room was clean but paintwork and flooring need looking at. Strange selection of guests smell of cannabis coming through our first floor room and noisy guests up drinking all night next door. Fire alarm went off at 1am on the Tuesday then again at 3am on the Wednesday only to be told twice it was a false alarm. Not even an apology

Concierge was friendly helpful and obliging and room was clean - but hotel worthy of one star at best
Room was clean but the window lock was broken and it didnt feel safe. The bed was the worse i have ever slept on. Rock hard like sleeping on the floor and 1 flat pillow each that didn't help either.
This is the worse hotel i have ever stayed at the owner was not professional and tried to rip me off for a room and had a bad attitude at the point of checking in as it was done through a third party.
Will never use this hotel again and i would urge everybody to avoid like the plague.
They really need to improve and renovate the entire building.
The guy at the reception was trying really hard to book another room as according to him you can’t stay in the room. You have to book another room.
When we booked we specifically asked for three adults and it was stated on the booking confirmation that it’s booked for three adults but he was keep refusing to give us the room with three separate beds (he was convincing us to book another one)
I would never go there again and I strongly suggest if anyone thinking to book a room there you might want to look for Airbnb or any other place.
Expedia should take this place off from there listing as it’s way too dirty to stay with no lights…
We stayed for two nights, the location of the hotel was very central over looking the beach. Very convenient for getting around. We left the car in the hotel car park the whole visit which was great. So the good bits of our stay, the breakfast overall was good with juice and cereal and English breakfast the kids ate free which was great. The owner was friendly and helpful. The day we arrived we were lucky to see the red arrows the hotel was perfectly situated to watch and avoid the masses. The kids adored moose the resident husky. We had a Sea view. The bad bits hotel is a little rough around the edges but clean. Our family room was small and the metal bunks incredibly noisy. Our bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows weren’t the best. Didn’t sleep particularly well .But if the beds were improved I think we would go back. The room served as a convenient base the explore Folkestone which was what we wanted. It could be amazing if it was updated as the location was great. And car parking a real bonus.
To start, The front desk representative wasn’t sure we’d have a room as the hotel often double books apparently. After a lengthy checkin, we were provided a room which DID NOT match the description or pictures.
He assured us, they never had a room with a double and a single. Only a twin bunkbed and a double.
The beds were not comfortable, the walls were thin and noise from people deciding to talk all night could be hard. The AirCon was not operational which led to the window needing to be open.
Absolutely would not recommend. The entire place was dated and not as advertised
Had a twenty plus minute check-in process, made longer by the fact the proprietor couldn’t wrap his head around three men booking a three person room with a double and single bed. He kept insisting on moving us to a larger room with three beds, despite the fact I kept insisting I was fine sharing a bed with my husband.
He also had a lot of issues with both OYO and Expedia, insisted on me showing our payment, before telling us the price on Expedia was wrong (it wasn’t).
The room was generally grim, and we were kept up by what sounded like a people filming a porno in a nearby room, followed by a row in the corridor between them and someone from a different room who apparently wanted to join in.
In short, would not recommend.
The view was beautiful.
Our room was on the top floor, the lift only fits two people without suitcases.
The free WiFi doesn't reach the third floor.
The free parking is poorly lit and not secure in anyway. It is also inadequate for the amount of rooms the hotel has.
The receptionist told us sternly to ensure the shower door was closed properly to prevent water leaking damaging the ceilings (he showed us a damp patch to illustrate his point). The shower door was damaged and the handle was hanging off.
Someone tried to enter our room at 0200 (not strictly the hotel's fault, but there are only 18 rooms in the building and only 6 on each floor. Is it that difficult to control entry?)
If this were a budget hotel, a few of these would be forgiven, but this room was £110.00.
Not great, very disorganised. We had a booking that should have been cancelled apparently as they had a school using the hotel. Made to pay when we arrived as they said they hadn’t had the money from OYO via Expedia… I will be looking into this when we get back. Rooms smell like old caravans, linen was clean but the toilet leaked, bear wires exposed. Generally not good impressions!!
