"This property is still using the Covid excuse to not automatically include housekeeping. They asked if we wanted it when we checked in, and I said yes. But apparently that only includes replacing the towels. The room wasn’t cleaned, vacuumed, nor were the beds made. Even when I asked specifically if they could make the beds, they didn’t. The location is great - very close to the beach and downtown Encinitas. Just don’t expect much from the hotel itself. "

"I spent 4 nights at The Inn at Moonlight Beach and I was still not ready to leave! Every morning I took a nice long stroll down Moonlight beach, and stopped off for coffee at Lofty. A wonderful breakfast basket was waiting for me when I returned with fresh fruit, a chia seed parfait and green juice. I stayed in Sweet Bay, which had nice high ceilings, a comfortable bed, a mini kitchen and a large soaking tub. All of the touches were so well thought out. I loved the sound machine with the sound...

"The staff were all very nice. Pretty small breakfast, not many fresh options. The pool was also small and very cold. The air conditioning worked well. In a location more for couples or singles without kids. Not much to do within walking distance."

"This property is in need of serious updating. The hallways have a cloying, awful smell like there is carpet freshener or something being used to cover a worse smell. It is horrible. Luckily once in the rooms you do not smell it too badly. We stayed here 17 years ago and can say the rooms have not been updated since. Great location and freeway access both North and South along the coast. That’s the best thing I can say about this property."
