"Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website.
Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to.
Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

"This was a last minute booking and the room wasn't ready when we arrived so we had a little wait until it was ready. The manager (Tanya I think?) was very helpful, kept us informed and gave us a free drink while we were waiting which was much appreciated. The room itself was good, it was ground floor and close to McDonalds but we couldn't hear any noise from outside. Very hot but it was a hot evening outside
The check-in was weird because we were asked to pay £5 for parking which wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the booking process. Considering it’s a motorway services accommodation, there’s really no choice unless we parachuted in. The hotel should have the honesty to include it in the price at booking."

The hotel wasn’t exactly what I was expecting - the name suggests a degree of elegance, but what I found was a downmarket version of a premier inn without the consistency. Relatively convenient for nearby attractions about halfway to Bewdley on the Bewdley road. A decent walk to the center of Kidderminster for most dining options."

"Had to click on something to get to this part of the review. Never actually stayed at the hotel, but spoke to a lady called Catherine who was brilliant! We had to cancel due to family commitments, but good old Expedia wouldn’t refund as they said I was too late to do as, but I took out the cancellation cover with them which said I could cancel up to the 3/5, but they thought different. I will never use Expedia again. You need to speak to people not robots!!"
