"Clean room, custodial staff and most of the front office staff helpful. Some more smiles would be great! Major complaint was the pool. It filmed over several times from being underfiltered and on another occasion it was full of dead bugs. But overall a good experience reasonably priced. My grandkids loved the breakfast. But we're disappointed in the pool upkeep. Plentiful and easy parking."

"when you turn on the light in the bathroom, the noise is so loud and high-pitched that you cannot use the light. You also cannot stay in the bathroom long enough to take a shower because of the insanely loud noise coming from the light. I have photos that I’m happy to post of baby cockroaches in the kitchen area of the room. And finally, the entire floor that I was on reeked of marijuana into my room. The noise went on until four in the morning with music and people in the hallways, laughing and...

"The food was a step above other lodging in simular levels and it was refreashing to see the menu change daily. We stayed two nights and had no complaints."

"Parking and check in was easy. The front desk was friendly and prompt. The room was impeccably clean. All of the linens were white. Everything seemed to be wiped down smelled fresh and the air conditioning was great. I’m actually shocked that I paid the price I did. I would’ve thought that a room like that would’ve went for more. "Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Newport News was one of the worst on our US roadtrip. We had to change rooms during our 2 day stay because of non-working door-locks. The entire facility is poorly maintained. Bedlinen are dirty, all family members had bites from bedbugs all over their bodies after our stay there. Rooms are not well cleaned, ACs are dirty and full of dust. Breakfast is average, nothing special. Cannot compare to Holiday Inn Hotels here in Europe, a house like this would have had...

"I’ve stayed multiple times at the brick kiln golf resort and lodge , and played the golf course multiple times as well.The course -hotel and restaurant (the nest) , are top notch. The thing that constantly stands out- is the staff !!! Always a pleasure to interact and connect with. This particular team— pro shop - Garrett and Owen- and the nest - Cayla - and check in personnel were - as usual- just an absolute pleasure. Keeps me and my family coming back when visiting our daughter at CNU"
