Fantastic people, very friendly, extremely professional dive staff, knowledgeable staff. Great experience! Can’t wait to come back for the excellent service & hospitality!
Agave Azul was smack in the middle of town! Walking distance to everything in town. We fished off the piers and hung out on the shore walls watching the tide and sea activity. Cabs were right in front. Has a shared kitchen to cook or refrigerate things. The maid was skilled at towel animals and each one was very special with added floral touches. It’s a simple clean local hotel with diving expertise and friendly staff 😁
This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in Cozumel.
A big stinking dog in the reception, a small dog barking all day, and a karaoke/nightclub outside my window playing LOUD music until 5AM every day.
They have a shared kitchen, but the fridge was overloaded, and my food was stolen the first day!
The room needed renovation (way overdue) and the hotel was closed down after 8PM with the front door locked (hope it's never a fire there, that would be catastrophic)
When I was supposed to check out January 1st, no one at work at the hotel, so I had a struggle getting my deposit.
My suggestion, find another hotel! There are so many other and better hotels downtown Cozumel
AS I was told by one of the staff members this is primarily a hotel that caters to French speaking clients mostly from Quebec Canada. Noise from surrounding nightclubs is terrible on Fri. and Sat. nights till 4:30 AM You are required to deposit $25 US up front in case you steal the towels. Rooms need an upgrade and hot water was very sporadic. You are also required to prepay for your diving everyday even if you have prepaid your room for a week or more. Instructors and dive master staff are excellent!! Taxi everyday to the marina can be a pain. I did have fun but there is much room for improvement.
Great location and price point. Very close to everything you need. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was basic and quiet during my stay. Dive center is great and staff professional and friendly. WIFI was good.
Overall very good experience. Room was decent size, very clean, although bed was a bit lumpy. Communal kitchen available to all guests. Staff go out of their way to make you feel like family. Very close to ferry and everything else in Downtown Cozunel

Very central located. Weekends music midnight next dpor but that was only drawback.
Exceptional staff and guests interesting and considetate.
Really comfy bed and plush towels.
Really appreciated the art and the kitchen was imaculate and honor system.
High level of trust and professionalism.
Thxs too for the good direction where to snorkel.

Friendly, professional, talanted and a great place
Wonderful staff, both in the hotel and the dive shop. Need something, ask any staff and they will either deal with it or find the right person who can. The dive shop was the outstanding part. I have been diving for 40 years and I have never found a more professional dive operation. If you speak French you will love this place. Many of the divers and some of the staff speak French. Yes, I would stay here again.
