"More at the "motel" end of things than a proper hotel, but a decent enough place to stay despite that. You will NOT be staying in the house shown in the picture, but in the motel complex at the back. Continental breakfast is good value. We didn't eat there (other than breakfast) so can't comment on the food."

"Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"Quirky old building, so, some steep staircases. Unfortunately we arrived whilst they were doing some renovations, so, not everything was available. But the continental breakfast was good the next morning. The rooms were ok, we were lucky to get a river view (for free, if booked in advance that costs extra) quite a small twin room, en suite bathroom. Large well planned seating area in adjacent pub with cheap value food and drinks. Pleasant, helpful staff just not many of them. Would definitely use again!"

"We never had a view, we looked out to the back of buildings,which was ok,we dont mind too much, the mattress was shocking, really saggy at the top end on 1 side, we ended up turning the mattress, as it felt like i was sleeping on a hill."

"This was my second stay at this hotel and I did notice some changes, some good, some not. My room looked refreshed, but it had no wall decor and seemed unfinished, but immaculately clean. There was nowhere comfortable to sit, but the bed was extremely good to sleep on. The outbuilding in which my room was situated had a large foyer, strangely decorated with two hard chairs and an ironing board.
