"Comfortable clean, quiet room, good breakfast cooked to order. Helpful staff, our hotel of choice for this area. Limited parking, best turn the car to drive out, reversing is very tricky onto a busy road."

"Quiet hotel location in beautiful countryside. Rooms clean and spacious. Included breakfast good, with help yourself cereal, yogurt, and pastries plus cooked to order hot breakfast. I didn't try it but Sunday lunch is supposed to be great. Finally, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. All in all a great stay for a very reasonable price."

"Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. "We just had a standard double room, I was suprised how nice it was for the price. The hotel itself is lovely, such a beautiful place. There are a few animals outside to feed, an outdoor bar area. The bar inside is great and reasonably priced. The food is AMAXING "

"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "
