"We checked into our first room only to have a plugged toilet. When we called the front desk they dropped off a plunger and said we don’t have a maintenance man. After working on the toilet ourselves we finally asked for a new room. Our second room had very low toilet flush as well and we had to go get batteries for the remote. "Homeless guy sleeping in the lobby and staff refused to address it. Meth head zombie outside the room window walking back and forth. Requested a different room on the second floor which didn’t have outlet covers, a hair drier, or an iron but it did have a plunger in a gross plastic bag in the corner of the bathroom. Air conditioner controls were all busted out and didn’t work. Lobby carpet needed to be despirately cleaned. The breakfast was ok though."

"Hotel Seward was a disappointment in multiple ways. We booked a room with two queen beds - the room felt incredibly small, with super small bathrooms. There was no room service and cleaning everyday. The reception staff were rude and unfriendly. I called the reception to ask for two glasses and she asked me to go and ask the restaurant, in a very rude attitude. They never emptied the trash, cleaned the bathroom and absolutely refused to make the beds. After telling them multiple times we got a...

"Given a room with serious issues, we were denied a different room upon returning to the front desk . Said we could wait for maintenance to fix AC and bathroom back to room and no maintenance showed. So we decided to leave. Back to desk. Finally, after a private discussion by clerk with a manager ( who did not present themselves ) the clerk said we could get a free breakfast and wait for another room. Terrible customer service, desk clerk seemed to be untrained, management unwilling to be seen....

"This was such a beautiful property and the stay was super comfortable. Everything in the property is so thoughtfully well designed and you can tell the owners poured their passion into it. They really care about their guests. They go above and beyond in all ways possible!"

"Inn at Whittier was a great find. It's conveniently located right after the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel and right next to the dock where you leave for the glacier cruise. The property is very cozy and clean. We were surprised by the size of our room and the great view from the windows! The staff at the inn and their restaurant were so nice and friendly. The food was excellent too. Everything was great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Whittier. Great value for the price."
