The staff were excellent throughout our stay, particularly Ashley, the Duty Manager, and Renisha on Reception, who were helpful and did their best to resolve the issues we encountered. "The hall is magical. The stay was great and the room and food were excellent with one small exception. This is that the fabric covers on the chairs in the dining room were grubby. Also the decor in the dining room could do with a refresh. I mean paint, flowers lights etc."

"Clearly there’s a leadership issue at this hotel. The Staff were nice but clearly not well trained or motivated. Long check in line with no other staff available or skilled to attend the other checkin counter. An elderly couple needed help with bags but none of the Staff around offered. Same for us when leaving no one helped. There seems to be around 100 doors along each corridor which require manual open … why ? Bad for clients with bags but poor cleaning staff. Old smelly carpets. "We had a nice stay here. The only bug bear was that there was not much fruit at breakfast. I do not eat fry ups in the morning. The only fruit was apples. Maybe a dish of mixed fruit or bananas would have been nice. The staff were really pleasant and the hotel itself was fine for our 2-day stay. The bedroom could have been a little bit more updated, paint off in most places, the en-suite was old fashioned, could be done up more modern really."
