"i have stayed at the kahala several times over a few decades and i feel like the property is getting tired and needs a refurbishment. It feels dated. I was told my room was newly refurbished and i guess it must have been really bad before because it didn’t feel all that different from previous stays. It doesn’t feel like a five star resort. "

"Great place to stay in the middle of things that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Be warned - the bathrooms are see through into the main room. Never seen a bathroom set up like it before but has two sets of skinny, horizontal wooden blinds. Can’t use the toilet without it being audible in the main room. "

"A true feeling of being on vacation. The food is EXCELLENT! The room is comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed and more including little unexpected touches. The staff was incredible and attentive. The excursions were truly wonderful and meaningfully curated. The only complaint is that many of the activities were filled and we couldn’t participate in a few we wanted. We booked the trip about a week before coming and they seem to fill up fast.
