"No parking for the hotel, you have to hope for a spot in the garage down the street or you're completely screwed. NO AIR CONDITIONING in the entire hotel. You can open the windows and listen to the blaring music from the cars below and squaking birds if you want fresh air. The "Historic Rooms" are just dated and cramped. Our light switch didnt even work. How historic. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more money and stay somewhere else. This hotels rates are way above the quality it...

"Clean rooms with shutters on the windows. I stayed in the Traditional room with 2 beds, no fireplace. It had air conditioning and heat. The breakfast is not complementary. The hotel does give a 15% discount for staying at the hotel. We did not eat at the restaurant This place has been there for many years so the parking spaces are small. The hotel advertised it had bath robes however, our room did not have them other than that it had everything else it stated and was a nice stay. "

"The resort is in the best location with breathtaking 180 degree views of the dramatic pacific coast. The room was clean and very comfortable with a cozy fireplace. The onsite restaurant and lounge are excellent choices for dining breakfast, lunch, or dinner while gazing at the incredible ocean views along Big Sur. I loved my stay here! "

"The vanity in th eroom is tiny. The couch very uncomfortab le. There was no view to speak of even though a large part of what we paid for was the view. The towels were uncomfortable. Check in was at 4:00 pm precisely even though we had been offered early check in. The breakfast was not included. The bar was super expensive. Overall, not to be repeated!"

"The renovated room we stayed in was lovely. The beds and bedding were comfortable and the river view from the second floor balcony was beautiful and soothing. The one area for improvement was to have microwaves in the rooms. "

"The shower head wouldn’t move and pointed straight to the back wall. And the shower and sink were slow draining. Besides that the room was clean, bed and pillows were comfy. Property was really quiet and the staff was friendly. "
