"Our experience was extremely disappointing for three reasons. First the property, which is quite old, has not been well maintained. The word I would use to describe our room is "shabby." Pretty shocking at this price point. Second, the management and service levels are below par. The primary draw of the property is the ocean view, meaning the property is located on a sloped hillside. That means stairs and distant parking lots. We arrived at night and no assistance or explanation was offered...

"We had an ocean view room and it was just beautiful. So relaxing to sleep to the sound of the ocean. "

"The room was nice and clean came with free espresso coffee. The scenery was beautiful and the outdoor area connected to the room was beautiful. The amenities were nice and there were many. Along with having a free golf course and then a larger one that cost money. It is all worth it. Carmel itself is gorgeous and it’s about a 5 minute drive into the cute little shopping areas there. I 100% recommend this place. One down side is that the upstairs neighbors did have children and they were a little...

"This is a motel you stay at because you HAVE TO. This is not a place you go if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. I booked because I bought into the whole garden vibe and when i got to the hotel it was abysmal...even if it had a magical garden it wouldn't have made the stay any better. Would not recommend. Canceled the additional night booked. Would have been happier in my car."

"The staff was very friendly and I felt safe at night walking the parking lot and standing out front on the sidewalk. The rooms were clean and with two children I appreciated that there was a door separating the two beds instead of the typical side by side; loved this most about the room. The fireplace worked great and the shower was nice. "

"Good for a one night and for the for the price we payed. Hotel definitely needs an update and our bathroom sink had hairs that were not cleaned. Hotel staff was very friendly. "

"Stay was great although next time I will book a room with a refrigerator. My only mention would be is the valet ! The three times we left over two days I use the QR code on the little ticket they give you to request your car be pulled up and basically requested 30 minutes in advance which is not a problem whatsoever. The issue is when you get downstairs for your car it is not there and then you have to wait another 15-20 minutes. I hope they can resolve this issue. Some people may not have the...

"Worst customer service at the front desk with the young man that I couldn’t get his name. The room was still filthy. Hair inside the shower, is never a good sight! I will never stay at this place, nor recommend it to anyone. Let’s not talk about the breakfast that was offered. "
