"Soon as we get to our room the hallway and the room had a very bad weed odor, we reported to the receptionist straight away.. peoples were slamming the doors all night , room was dirty , and the bathroom was disgusting hairs around the sink , on the walls around the shower … this hotel is just awful"

"Very disappointing stay – would not recommend I stayed at Mercure Haydock for two days and unfortunately the experience was extremely poor. The biggest issue was the broken bed. One side was broken and every time we moved it made an extremely loud noise. It was also very uncomfortable and made sleeping difficult. My wife is pregnant, and the constant noise, discomfort and lack of sleep caused her severe distress. I reported this to reception and the staff later confirmed that the bed had been...

"Room and amenities were ok but rooms were too close to a busy main road! Window needed to be kept open because hot in the room - so noisy! It didn’t help that the Bin lorry visited about 9.30 pm ish and bins were being dragged to be emptied and in the morning-7am ish to be put back in place !!!"
