"Catalonia Royal Tulum was great. Had very friendly and helpful staff. The resort was incredible and so were the restaurants that were included with the all inclusive. I just had a problem with my car rental. I had paid for the full rental up front and for insurance for the vehicle, but upon arrival I was told by Mex Rent a Car that I needed to leave a $5,000 USD deposit for insurance. I found that number to be quiet high and asked for a refund. I ended up getting no help from the employee there and had to pay for a full new rental contract at Hertz where they were better priced and better help."

Barceló Maya Palace - All Inclusive

"The architectural details of the buildings along with the amenities such as pools, hammocks, swim up restaurants, shops, events, delicious all inclusive food and refreshments and proximity to the beach (right on the coastline) made alot of difference in our vaction experience. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this place. Staffs were friendly...convenient to the airport and parks and Cenotes. I would recommend arranging for transportation before hand. May wanna use the Tulum airport rsther than Cancun. I was told not to rent cars for safety reasons, so I had made previous booking with a car company to pick us up and drop us off. It was significantly higher than renting a car but since it was our first visit...I wanted to go the safer route. But next time, I will definitely rent a car since that's more convenient and I don't feel it will be a major issue. Hotel taxi service was expensive as hell which I learned the hard way. $67 for a 1 mile ride. So save that cost by renting a car. I would also recommend staying at Barcello Maya palace since it has few other sister resorts near by because this will give you access to all resorts which is Part of Barcelo and enjoy unlimited activities for you and your family. Tourists pay more for extra services so don't expect this to be cheap. I didn't mind because you are not spending money on food and drinks. The spa service is amazing. Truly 5 star experience!"

"The room was amazing. spotless. modern up-do-date. clean. beautiful view. the staff was very helpful and welcoming. the pool. all the pools! were so nice and big. Plenty of space for if ur by urself or with a big group. swim up bars were plenty available and upbeat and full of energy. the bartenders did a great job keeping everyone's cups full and people smiling. couldn't ask for a better resort. only downside was the beach was not up to par because of the seaweed but that wasn't their fault. Plenty of activities during the day but they ended early. I wish they kept the energy and music going a little later. Great shows at the theater at night and relaxing entertainment in the courtyard. The food and drinks were excellent as well 👌 would recommend"

"The food was amazing, the shows were entertaining, accommodations were awesome! I will definitely come back! Make sure to visit the spa. Loved our stay here! 10 out of 10 would recommend! Pools were great, there were several pools plus man made cenotes on the property. We went during the World Cup they had a huge screen set up on the beach with a barb cue for us to watch it. Really enjoyed my vacation!"
