"The hotel was such a disappointment. The hotel reception is the nicest part, the rooms, or at least the rooms we were in across the bridge were so dated and dull. It was the hottest day of the year and the only place in the hotel with air con was the reception desk. The pool and jacuzzi was nice but not worth going back for. So much better value out there."

"The hotel is tired and has an overwhelming smell of stale smoke in the hallways and bedrooms. Staff were friendly but miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping, meant that requests were missed or forgotten. Best bit of the hotel is the bar and outdoor terrace. The pool was lovely but the changing rooms were not. Definitely gives off conference vibes - would not stay there for pleasure."

"Our sea view room was clean and spacious. The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable though. The bathroom was clean. Could do with a couple of armchairs in the room rather than wooden ones but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we were out and about most of the time. The breakfasts were good with a good choice to suit most people. We've been to the grand now about 8 times now and have honestly never had any real issues. Looking forward to our next visit."

"All excellent except dogs permitted indoors. I agree with assistance dogs but 2 of my travelling companions have had adverse experiences with dogs. One was bitten by a family pet the other chased down the street by a Rottweiler that had escaped through a fence. Given that neither of those attacks were reported there must be more than double the 24,000 annual reported attacks. In addition hygiene can be an issue if dogs go into food serving areas! Since the pandemic there has been a proliferation...

"Our second stay at this lovely hotel. It’s elegant without being stuck up. All the staff were lovely. I had the most fantastic green curry in Drakes restaurant; a good nights sleep in very comfortable bed; a great breakfast (yogurt, fresh pineapple and fruit coulis especially appreciated!); and a nice dip in the pool before leaving. Thanks!"

"Room was on 4th floor. Ok but issue with air conditioning. Fam had been provided which was sufficient during our stay but would not have been any good for hotter weather. Complimentary breakfast given by hotel because of failure with air conditioning"

"I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel advertises that it has parking, but when we arrived, there was no parking available despite this being listed as an amenity. To make matters worse, we were initially given a room that had clearly not been cleaned. The bed had been slept in, the room was dirty, and it was obvious it hadn't been prepared for new guests. Having to return to reception immediately after checking in was not the start to our stay we expected. The hotel also...
