"The hotel is in a really good location, central to a lot of things to do and resturants. The hotel is definitely old. The beds and shower were clean. The floors had debris from previous stays. The paint on the wall is peeling and the ceiling is coming off as well. There isn’t any cleaning people that come to tidy up during your stay and if you need any additional towel, toilet paper or anything you need to go to the desk yourself. "Good location and most of the staff will go out of their way to be as helpful as possible. The WiFi coverage is inconsistent with blind WiFi spot in the hotel. Standard breakfast including hot cooked breakfast. While the room is dated and the mattress probably need replacement soon, it was clean. No air-conditioning but had a table fan which it is greatly appreciated."

"Room was lovely staff were lovely bit noisy as concert going on in castle across road until late… not a lot they can do about that in fairness if weather was cooler could of closed windows to hopefully reduce noise again nothing they can do about the weather. Breakfast was nice but not very hot and we were in there 5 minutes after it opened at 8am. Overall beautiful building fantastic location and I would stay again but go out for breakfast"

"The hotel was appauling wibdows would not open shower door would not close booked for three nights only stayed one night defininately would not reccomend if you like eggs for breakfast boiled scrambled or poached thats fine no bar what so ever the photos are very misleading nothing like the actual rooms"

"Stayed 2 nights, comfy bed had everything we needed, had a kettle, tea/coffee station, hotel was being refurbished ie scaffolding on the outside of building that didn't effect our sea views, hotel very friendly & helpful i would go again for a budget friendly atmosphere also what I liked the most was the swimming pool I had the whole pool to ourselves at our stay 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 o"

"This was a stay mainly to see the area not to use the facilities but the gym looked good . I wanted to use the pool one evening but it was closed at 6 when i went so beware of that . Food was great and good value . Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Excellent room for wheelchair users which my wife is . Brilliant wet room and excellent all round . Parking good also ."

"Loved this hotel. Great atmosphere and location. The rooms are excellent and the staff are great. The breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. The parking is very limited as expected in a central location. Otherwise there were no issues. Parking at the station is reasonably priced and only a 5 minute walk."

"The beds were very comfortable, but the fixtures in the bathroom could be better. The soap dish in the shower was very rusty and hanging off the wall. The sink taps needed a good clean. I tried using the hairdryer but it hardly had any power to dry my hair and looked unsafe to use as it went bright orange when I turned it on. I did mention this to a member of staff and he said he would bring me another hairdryer but he didn’t"

"Pros : staff were great, good location and the price was pretty decent. Cons : there was no air conditioning and the staff warned me before I checked in that the room would be hot (it was July) and they were telling the truth : it was very hot. My TV didn't work, which was a nuisance rather than a major problem. Summary : if you are looking for somewhere affordable to stay and especially if not in the Summer, this hotel is worth considering. But it's definitely a budget hotel, and I would avoid...
