"The bed was really uncomfortable, which was a surprise for a PI, as they pride themselves on the bed comfort. The bar was open late which was great. The parking is small, only 17 spots and you pay for this daily. "

"The room was in a great location and accessed by keypad so no key needed. Pre-check-in was done online that everything was easy. The room as well located on the High Street and close to places we wanted to visit. The room was very clean, spacious and decorated beautifully. The bed was comfortable with lovely white crisp in. Plenty of hot drinks and orange juice and porridge provided. The over bath shower was fine but could have been better in terms of power and heat. The plumbing in this room...

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Excellent value for money. Basic and dated but clean. Firm comfortable bed. Bathroom basic but fine, bits of mould here and there but clearly been cleaned properly. Turned up early and left bag with assurance night porter would be told..later night porter knew nothing about me. But we found bag. Breakfast was really great for the proce and lovely man seeving toast and coffee. V pleased overall"

"Too many notes telling you not to scratch things. It was nothing like as described on website. Spoon holding the window fastener, other windows held together with duck tape. . Felt damp in there so needed heat. Bedding wasn’t Egyptian cotton, bottom sheet was pea green. Tap just dribbled water out of wash basin. Lane and track down to property was terrible, full of holes. We didn’t stay for breakfast or to sleep there."

"Wide choice of fresh food with all amenities easy to use or staff onhand to assist, and therefore, we looked forward to our breakfast every morning. Set up for the day. Staff even taking us to our room after arriving a little earlier than expected with our cases. All was clean, spacious and comfortable in the room. Lovely shower. Plenty of clean towels. Storage enough for the two of us. Staff always happily noted our return and departure. Very helpful about the area. Reliable and friendly. "

"The location was fantastic but the check-in process was complicated. The instructions to enter the property were incomplete. You had to hold your hand over the handle for the numbers to appear before you could put a code in."

"The station is next to the hotel and follow the Taxi signs as the Taxi rank is next to the hotel. Perfect if you don't want to walk far and then need a taxi from hotel to anywhere. I shall stay here again."

"Nicely decorated and very clean, cramped and cold though. In a fairly grubby part of town. Very overlooked by other buildings into room. Staff assistance was prompt but there is no in person presence. Quiet at night and good black out blinds. "
