"Positives: Hotel was clean, quiet and newish. Breakfast goodish. Negatives Bed too soft. Room nyc-like small. My card was overcharged at the front desk compared to the amount I was expecting as per expedia. When I advised the front desk they were was not particularly understanding or even believing. I had to show my expedia booking on my phone to be believed: the desk person mentioned there was a disconnect between expedia and the hotel systems, whatever that means. "Its was a nice place to stay apart from the staff asking if we could smell weed! I think it may have been my tattoos that made them single us out however we had been out for the evening so we felt a bit like we were not welcome and if it wasn't so late I would have moved hotels."

"Nice place, only an overnight stay. A slight walk from the main road if you're on foot, under 10 mins. No direct transport from Newton Abbot station but if you fancy a 30-minute walk it's not a bad route. On the tip end of River Teign and quite scenic with a nice outdoor garden. Guessing you can take dogs in as they have a dog wash on site :) Restaurant and bar has some good choices."

"Very clean comfortable room with a sea view, this was larger than rooms in most hotels which we liked but would not be described as luxurious more a good quality well maintained room. From the outside the hotel does not impress but this is no indication of the quality of the room and the friendly helpful staff. The location is very close to the seafront and near to a well maintained park which has an excellent cafe. I found the seaside town quite interestingly quirky and with good weather there...
