"Beautiful building but lack of attention to detail. Upon arrival in spa, went to make a cup of hot tea and there was no sugar or stir sticks or spoons. Wanted to enjoy the hot tub before massage and it was like a barely warm bath plus the jets were spraying up at your face so you couldn’t sit without getting water in the face. "We stayed 1 night at this lovely, cozy and very spatious hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the indoor pool, jacuzzi and steam room. Not many people there, so we had lots of space. The bathrooms were well equipped (hair dryer and amenities which I loved). When leaving the pool, I passed by the bar which looked lively and fun. "Stayed two nights 26/27 March. The de luxe double was an excellent room very comfortable bed had a really good night sleep. Bath in the bathroom a positive. Breakfast on first day a full english really well cooked next day on the Saturday had eggs royale really good."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"My husband and I stayed on a Saturday night in November as a birthday treat. We stayed in the loft suite. This room is clean, cosy beautifully decorated. The bathroom is amazing ! We absolutely loved the jetted bathtub. It really was a selling point for us. Breakfast was very nice. Lovely fresh eggs. We enjoyed having our own private dining toom too. Paul was very nice and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you ."
