"Gorgeous view of the Ribeira from our room in this well located guest house. The room was tiny but comfortable for a couple having a short stay. We enjoyed the close proximity of some of Porto and Gaia’s best restaurants and destinations. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was abundant and delicious."

"I did not get a printed bill so have no idea what i was charged for, i was charged 39 euro for a glass of wine without being asked if that price was okay, felt like i was being taken advantage of at each turn amd pretty upset. The staff are cur courteous but trained to push an agenda rather than understand what the guest wants. "

"Super convenient and bougie hotel! Great location right on the Douro. Everything was great; just a bit on the pricey side. A bit disappointing that I couldn’t get a room with a balcony or a reservation on the rooftop restaurant, but oh well. Breakfast was good. Was a great surprise to have a second bathroom! As Canadians, the absence of decent, large size coffee is a bummer, but that’s the European way!"

"The view from this hotel was awesome. The staff were always very helpful. We even got a surprise complimentary wine and cake for my husbands birthday. The bed and pillows gave me the most excellent sleep. Would like to know what they are as it’s the best sleep I ever had. I have back issues. Overall an awesome stay"

I have travel across the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This Yeatman ranks at the top of my list. "This property was really clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful. They book both a transfer from the train to the hotel and a wine tour for us. Both went smooth and were good. Had water in the room and complimentary wine. The AC was a little weak but could still feel it."

"A dream stay! Cute, petite, luxury boutique hotel w/ a restaurant next door. Check-in was a breeze & the staff super helpful! The place was immaculate & the room simple but eloquent. "Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Gebäude ist von der Straßenseite eher unscheinbar, dahinter liegt ein großzügiges, modern elegant und stilvoll gestaltetes Hotel mit Blick auf Portos Altstadt und mit einem angenehmen Garten mit Terasse. Nebenan liegt das WOW, aber ab 22 Uhr wurde dort die Musik leise und wir fühlten uns nicht gestört. Auch das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr vielfältig und wird in einem stilvollen Rahmen serviert. Insgesamt vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen."

"We spent 4 nights in Porto at 1827 River House and during our stay we met most of the team who make this boutique B&B so special. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, from arranging the transfer from the airport, lending us a USB adaptor and providing helpful hints on where to eat and what to see. We had a river view room on the 4th floor and the room was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. Location-wise it couldn't be better as you are literally a stone's throw...
