The ambience, the location, the beautiful park (the Links), the comfortable room with excellent amenities .. I could go on. I rate this hotel very highly indeed. There are lots of little shops, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Princes Street is less than 10 minutes away by bus."

"Amazing spot right near the castle. We loved everything about this apartment. The only downside was doing a load of washing as the washer dryer goes for about 5 hours so we had to take wet clothes to our next destination. I’d suggest to the owner buying a dryer on its own. Apart from that it was perfect"

"This rustic yet modern building is in walking distance of historic Edinburgh. The room and amenities were excellent, service great, the sister restaurant had excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Place was gorgeous, modern, convenient, clean. Though listed as for 4 people, it was a bit awkward for 4 people: bathroom en suite to one room, so those on beds (pull-outs) in front room had to walk through the other room to the bathroom. And because light switches for bathroom are outside, anyone sleeping gets light in their eyes until the door is closed. And using the kitchenette was disturbing to those sleeping in front room. Would have liked a full size coffee maker as the nespresso...

"Great place to stay with everything you need and great transport links."

"Parking is a big issue in this place, its an extra 25 pounds a nite. Parkings outside (the street) are only with coins. The receptionists the day of the arrival weren’t pleasant at all, one of them helped me as I couldn’t figure out how to park outside but the other wasn’t even kind enough to even guide me to my room when I asked her to repeat the instructions.I was given a room that took me two different elevators to get to. Ac didn’t start, room was hot as hell,had to ask for help, they...

"We loved staying at The Rutland! It’s in a great location within walking distance of most of the major sights. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts and coffee in the hotel restaurant were always delicious. We loved the decor and size of our room. Everything was perfect!!"

"It was very clean, great location, rooms are small but efficient use of the space. The staircase is difficult to carry suitcases on. The beds are very comfy, The staff are excellent. I would definitely recommend it."
