"On arrival we were greeted kindly by the reception staff, check in was simple and easy, we went upto our room and I noticed that there were blood spots/stains on the bedding. I called down to reception and was moved to another room, the other room also had the same bloodspot stains on the bedding. The manager called the house keeping team, who then took me into multiple other rooms, and were saying things like "oh this one has got the stains on as well so you wont want to stay in any of these". They were very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. They were not understanding and were making me feel like I was causing problems over nothing. I said that the bloodspots are a sign of bed bugs and it makes me worried and uncomfortable, I asked to be put on another wing of the hotel to which they refused. They were wiping their hands on the desk and showing me their hands saying "see its clean no bed bugs" sarcastically. They were talking to eachother in front of me saying "theres nothing on the bedding whats she talking about". I had a flight at 4am the next morning, and had no transport to go anywhere else, so had no other choice but to stay which made me upset. The rooms weren't very clean. I felt uncomfortable for my entire stay. They gave me 2 drinks vouchers for the inconvenience. Breakfast was okay the next day, but I wont be returning."

"Fantastic staff gave a warm welcome and great service throughout our stay. Parking was very convenient and secure although was a tight space. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice."

"Didn't have breakfast unfortunately as some confusion over booking Single Rooms spacious and decorated well, bed comfortable, earplugs provided and needed as a fairly light sleeper the traffic noise was continuous all night Guest living room and bar full of charm and character and bar well stocked at reasonable prices"

The disappointment was the room was much smaller than picture on expedia. in making your reservation ask them about the size of the room. location is good but it is hard to get out of the parking lot due to hedges blocking view it made id difficult"

"A really great family hotel right next to the Wookey Hole attraction. Rooms were spacious and very clean and the bed was very comfortable indeed. Great value for money and would definitely stay again."

"Property a little tired but very clean and staff are very nice. Rooms functional we were upgraded to a beautiful view, only complaint the hearing was in a timer and the room was very cold. They gave us an electric heater which took the chill off. "

"Stayed on a Saturday evening and arrived before check in time. A wedding was in progress and although we had been warned that might happen we felt as if the wedding had taken over the whole of the ground floor and there was no where really for us to sit for a drink without feeling we were gate crashing the wedding. When we checked in the staff were lovely. They explained all the facilities and booked a time for swimming for us and sorted a small issue with the room immediately. We booked a time for dinner in the restaurant for later in the evening. After we unpacked we had a wonderfully relaxing swim/ sauna/ steam. Again the staff were lovely, there were towels provided and the offer of more if we required. The health suite facilities were very clean and the gym was extensive. Dinner was good and the menu had lots of options. Our room was good, clean and spacious and as it was on the third floor and we heard nothing from the party downstairs and even though the hotel is very near the M5 we didn’t hear any traffic noise so we slept very well.
