"In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though."

"Lovely hotel staff polite and friendly checking in, our room was very small and a bit tired looking with some of the fittings looking a bit grubby and tatty and some marks on the wall, The bar and restaurant area were very nice and our breakfast was excellent. I would recommend going for an upgraded room hopefully a bit larger than ours."

"My visit was an absolute pleasure to be there, host was awesome. There was a some issue with booking but host was quickly sorted out. Property was immaculately cleaned, maintained and beautifully picturesque village. Food was awesome too. Huge thank you for an awesome experience. I will recommend anyone to visit and enjoy this hidden gem in a small village. Easy access to motor way. Thank you"

"Clean room nicely appointed. Quaint bar with wood fire and good selection of drinks including local ales. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was cereals and breakfast sandwiches (bacon, eggs etc) . Would stay again if in that area."

"Before you book, know that the primary business here is as a VERY popular family friendly pub! Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, though there's an expectation that you already know things and the anticipation that you are going to ask things that are wildly off target. The room was spacious and fairly comfortable, though needing a bit of attention--peeling paint, saggy loveseat, better pillows.
