"You are definitely paying for the location, not the quality of the hotel. I only stayed for one night so if that is you then this will be sufficient. It is a walkable distance to soldier field and downtown so that will save you money on taxis.
The hotel is very clearly dated, the rooms seem semi updated but the tubs drain very slowly despite being equipped with a high pressure showerhead. AC works great. Experienced no issue beside that during my stay.
The bellhop I interacted with seemed very entitled to a tip. I had given ONE carry-on bag to him because we were 30 minutes early for check-in. He sighed loudly after giving me my bag back, walking 5 feet to retrieve it. If I had any reason to tip, he lost it by having some weird attitude about it."
