"Great hotel with charm and character right on the perimeter of the bath city center. Easy walk to all of the main attractions. Parking right on site which was great. Older hotel so no elevator or air conditioning, but full of charm and very nicely maintained."

"A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay. The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay. The staff are friendly and helpful."

"Hotel is located in the center of Bath and 12 minutes walk to Roman Bath. Walking to Jane Austen Center, circus or Royal Cresent all within 15 minutes. Room is well sized and tastefully decorated and sparkly clean. Have to mention that the bathroom was beautifully designed. Amenities provided was great, like kettle, coffee press machine, safe, etc. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Although it is in central area but night time the street was very quiet. "A hidden haven within a UNESCO busy tourist town. Escape the crowds by walking down a quiet street and into a tranquil and elegant hotel where the staff make a special effort for their guests. "Check in was quick, got in slightly earlier than advertised. Helpful staff. Ended up being upgraded to a family room with two beds, which was a bit unnecessary. Room was ok, surprised how poor the fittings are despite the age of the hotel. Desk chair completely ripped up, cupboards bashed. Stripped back beds and both had black marks over the sheets, housekeeping changed them asap but shouldn’t have been that way to start with. No towel rail except one over the bath so you have to go around the...

"Spent one night here and wish it was more! Spotlessly clean, lovely big room and bathroom with view over Bath. Nice self serve bar and the breakfast was amazing. Will stay again when next in Bath."

"Room was small but clean enough. The big problem with us was the stairs and no lift. We were at the top of the hotel and quite a few flights of stairs . We are in our 70s and had two suitcases about 45lbs each. Ended up leaving them in the car and just taking what we needed from them for the night. We are from Canada and I understand a lot of hotels in Britain are like that."

"Although the property is about 30 minute walk from the city center and no central AC is in your room, the quiet neighborhood and guaranteed peace and quiet is a great perk. There are fans provided to stay cool in the summer time. If you’re driving, they have parking guaranteed for guests and the gentleman at the reception desk was an outstanding host. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and luxurious. Lastly, their breakfast was lovely. I highly recommend this property."
