"Lovely stay at the Wellesley. Good value for a basic hotel. Nice comfortable room. Welcome tea, coffee and biscuits. Nice big towels (can't stand the silly little ones you get in some places). Good position away from the main Great Yarmouth area but very easy walk to get there (10 minutes slow walk).Only place I've stayed in where you can't have food or alcohol in the room but rules is rules and i saw that from reading reviews before we booked so happy to conform. "Had a 3 night stay here early September 2021, the hosts were very helpful and friendly, the building in general and my room was in good condition and clean and the breakfast was cooked well and delicious. The room was a bit small but the beer cooler in it was a nice touch and kept my tins of beer cold for the time I was there. There is no dedicated car parking in the grounds of the Guest House but Parking Permits for each day are given to you to park on the streets surrounding the Guest House...

"I stayed here for work and found it a perfect location. Steve was very good with communication and answering all my questions. The room was very modern with lots of gadgets which could be a little tricky but once you got the hang of it was all ok. "Great base for our family holiday to Caister. Well appointed had everything you would need. Plenty of towels which was good as we needed one in the kitchen for drying hands. Did not mention in advert that was right next door to a pub, most nights this was not an issue as the bedrooms are at the front, but on the Saturday there was a live band in the pub which was very loud and went on until 11.30pm. "Great welcome from our lovely host, and sad that we had to rush back home, could have stayed a few more days. If you want a nice friendly atmosphere and lovely cooked breakfast, then Gable End is the place to stay. The owner made us feel very much at home, and we shall call again most certainly soon. Breakfast was cooked and served by a lovely man who did not keep us waiting and served us as you would expect from a good hotel. Room was nice, new carpet laid down and comfy bed, nice view of the sea. Thanks Gable End for a lovely 2 night stay. 10/10 "
