"Amazing Family Vacation - We Would Absolutely Return We stayed at Occidental at Xcaret for a week with our two kids and had an amazing family vacation. The resort is beautiful and feels completely different from a typical all-inclusive. We loved walking around the tropical grounds and seeing animals roaming throughout the property. Our kids especially enjoyed the nightly kids’ show, while we loved the live entertainment in the lobby. The performers in traditional Indigenous/Mesoamerican-inspired attire added a special cultural touch and made the resort feel connected to Mexico. The cove was a major highlight. With young children, we appreciated how protected and calm the water felt compared with an open-ocean beach. It gave us a relaxing place to enjoy the water together without worrying about large waves. The food was mostly excellent. Breakfast was amazing every morning, and lunch at the beach bar was one of our favorite meals. The main buffet near the lobby was the only inconsistent part; some meals were very good, while others were just okay. Having Xcaret Park right next door was a huge advantage. Visiting the park was much easier without a long drive or complicated transportation, especially with kids. Between the animals, beautiful grounds, safe cove, nightly entertainment, live music, cultural performances, great breakfast, beachside lunches, and Xcaret’s convenient location, this resort gave us the family vacation we hoped for. We made wonderful memories!"

"I recently stayed at Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun, and it lived up to the hype! Less than a year old, the resort is modern, clean, and well maintained. Smaller, easy to navigate, and relaxing. 💰 Value: The price was reasonable; pool-view rooms are standard with no upcharge. I stayed in a one-bedroom suite with a king bed and loved it. 🏖️ Beach: You can access the beach from the resort, but it’s VERY small and not really walkable. Keep this in mind if the beach is your priority. 🍽️ Dining: There are Italian, Mexican, Spanish and Caribbean restaurants, plus a pizzeria and buffet. Specialty restaurants aren’t open daily, so check the schedule. No reservations are accepted; seating is first come, first served. 👏 Service: The staff was fantastic! Shoutout to Ceidi, who helped me find another restaurant when La Brisa had an hour wait and followed up to make sure I was okay. Mario, my cabana server, was equally amazing—attentive and kept my drinks and water flowing. They understood the assignment! 😂 🎶 Atmosphere: I visited during off-season, so it was quiet and not at full capacity. Daily activities and evening entertainment continued, with few kids. One area for improvement is the lighting. Pathways and stairwells were minimal at night. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Great value, beautiful property, and modern rooms, plus excellent service and a peaceful atmosphere. I’d absolutely return and recommend it! 🌴☀️🍹"
