Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

"The resort itself was good. However, it would be amazing if there was a snack bar option with basics (fries, nachos, hamburgers or hotdogs) in which we could grab a quick bite while continuing to be wet and in the lounge chairs. So many times I had to wait to dry up before grabbing a quick bite. Also, the pools appear to lack maintenance as there was plenty of black/molded areas. Lastly, the pizza at night was great the first day of arrival. However, upon our last few days I ended up getting food poisoning from raw pizza dough and had to miss my tour to Cozumel. Such a bummer, and our tour was nonrefundable."

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun - All-inclusive

"I stayed at the moon palace grand for 5 days. The reception and service was brilliant. Check in and Check out was a breeze. The moon palace complex features three different parts. Sunrise, Nizuc, and The Grand. Prices are around the same for Sunrise and Nizuc with The Grand being more pricey. You are provided with an app upon entry which you do everything through. Book restaurant reservations, Book activities, and order room service or a late night meal. If you have a room in The Sunrise or Nizuc you have access to both sections but are not allowed in the Grand. The Grand have access to the entire complex. It was a great experience but I wouldn’t recommend The Grand for everyone. If you enjoy a more laid back and chill experience the Grand would be great for you. If you are coming as a family and enjoy larger pools and activities I think Sunrise and Nizuc would be a good fit for you. I personally do not think the grand was worth the money for me especially as I came as a family. We enjoyed the activities and events in the Sunrise and Nizuc. The buffet was pretty much the same thing everyday and we did begin to not enjoy it. The most let down part of the Moon palace was the beach and ocean. The ocean isn’t the crystal blue waters you see online, it is filled with seaweed and other things. My personal recommendation is to save your money and purchase the Nizuc room as they are newer than sunrise and are a better bang for your buck."

"We had a great experience at this resort, we will return in the future. the Swimming pools were clean and more than enough, access to the beach was clean and organized. Food options were more than enough for us, definitely make reservations to the restaurant to get more variety, the steak house, the italian restaurant and the mexican restaurant (by the beach) were great options. Staff really friendly and helpful, they did try to sell us a membership but were not pushy at all (in our experience). Definitely we recommend this resort."

"An excellent hotel to stay in. Pools were clean and right next to the beach. The food in the restaurants was a high standard, particularly enjoyed breakfast with a huge range of choice. The pool food was a bit average, but you could walk to the restaurant if you wanted more choice or quality. The gym was well equipped, although the Peloton bike wasn’t working. Staff were great and super helpful. Super coffee shop, proper ground coffees and iced drinks. Enjoyed the stay."
