"We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail.
The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty.
Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms."

"Stayed here Mon-Fri. My initial opinion of this place was very good. Staff were very friendly and appeared efficient. Check-in was easy. Rooms are very good with a ceiling fan and additional tower fan in the room which was helpful during the recent spell of hot weather. Breakfast was good. Couldn’t connect my laptop to their wifi so had to use mobile network. Food in the restaurant was good and delivered piping hot but service is slow and food is a bit pricey. "We were very pleased with the hotel, clean, modern with spacious bedroom a very comfortable bed and great shower. The staff were very polite especially the gentleman who served us in the bar area. We also found it to be a great location for restaurants and bars plus ( go to the top of the street and turn right ) it was only a short walk to the shopping centre and the harbour too.
The slight negatives were
There wasn’t a hairdryer in the bedroom which was mentioned at reception, the receptionist...

"The staff was nice. The bed was super comfy. My room had no electricity when I checked in at 12:30am and no one offered to help me with my big bags as a single traveler. They dod come move my luggage to a new room. I appreciate the noon check out! Pretty good value."

"A big shout out to the staff which work here, very often you will stay somewhere and you’ll encounter 1 or 2 excellent staff with the rest just doing their job. This was not our experience at the Priory, every single member of staff acknowledged us with a friendly smile and an attentive attitude. "The room we had was spacious, clean well maintained everything you need for a relaxing stay . The room had iron and ironboard, fridge, glasses for drinks. Toiletries very good, shower easy to work . The Air-conditioning was brilliant. Breakfast was very good ,plenty of choice, but one day reduced staff on so service was poor and had to keep reminding staff what we wanted. But that was just once."
